What is NEET?
NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is an entrance exam for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and others in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Who is eligible to appear for NEET?
Candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
General category candidates need at least 50% marks in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology). For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the minimum is 40%.
The minimum age limit is 17 years as of December 31 of the year of admission, and the maximum age limit is 25 years (with a 5-year relaxation for reserved categories).
What is the NEET exam pattern?
The exam consists of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into three sections: Physics (45 questions), Chemistry (45 questions), and Biology (90 questions).
Each correct answer earns 4 marks, and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.
When is the NEET exam conducted?
The NEET exam is usually conducted in May. The application process typically begins in December or January.
What is JEE?
JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is an entrance exam for students seeking admission to engineering colleges in India. It consists of two levels: JEE Main (for admission to NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded institutions) and JEE Advanced (for admission to IITs).
Who is eligible to appear for JEE?
JEE Main: Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
JEE Advanced: Candidates must qualify for JEE Main and be among the top 2,50,000 qualifiers.
The maximum number of attempts for JEE Main is three consecutive years, and for JEE Advanced, two consecutive years.
What is the JEE exam pattern?
JEE Main: JEE Main is conducted in both online (computer-based) and offline (pen-and-paper) modes.
The exam consists of three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with 30 questions each.
Each correct answer earns 4 marks, and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.
JEE Advanced: JEE Advanced is a computer-based exam with two papers, each containing three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

When is the JEE exam conducted?
